At Children\u2019s Respite Trust, they truly believe that no family should have to care for a child with disabilities alone and so they provide support throughout Sussex.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hannah’s Holiday Homes is named after a wonderful young lady called Hannah, who, at the Age of 8, was diagnosed with Hodgkin\u2019s disease and was treated at Southampton General Hospital. She was always full of fun and cheered up other children on the ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She underwent very intense chemotherapy, a stem cell treatment and radiotherapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite all of this she never complained and remained a very happy, caring, loving daughter, sister and friend and was well loved by all who knew her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, at the age of 10, on 19th September 2004, Hannah passed away peacefully at her family home in Waterlooville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her illness, she continued with family and friends to fund raise for the Piam Brown Ward, which is the Children\u2019s Cancer Ward based at Southampton General Hospital, raising over \u00a310,000 in just 3 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What better way to honour such a wonderful young lady by setting up a charity in her memory to continue her wonderful legacy.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Emmett\u2019s Genies was founded to help bring some Magic into the lives of children with critical or life-limiting conditions. We work with our wish granting partners to enhance the experiences of these children and their families.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We had a really successful Year in a day event , made all the more special by your cars ! The teddy bear run really was a huge part of our day and gave so many children and families unique and special moments they will cherish forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mum was a volunteer and had a great time sitting in the Barbie car !! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your generosity and commitment play an important role in enabling our charity to continue supporting children with critical or life\u2011limiting conditions and their families. Every act of support helps us create moments of joy, relief, and lasting memories for those facing incredibly difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Emmett’s Genies member of the Year in a Day organising team , I am particularly grateful for the trust you place in Emmett’s Genies. Behind every experience we deliver is careful planning, coordination, and governance, and your support directly strengthens our ability to operate responsibly and sustainably while expanding our reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of people and organisations like yours, we are able to deliver meaningful experiences, develop our programmes, and continue working toward our long\u2011term vision. We truly could not do this without you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Scullard also passed on the message that you were donating money raised from your last summer run , which is so incredibly kind and generous . <\/p>\n\n\n\n
